Ventspils mechanical engineering company Bucher Municipal SIA was founded in 2004. It is a part of the Bucher Municipal division of the Swiss concern Bucher Industries.
The company produces 3 types of compact street sweepers in a full-cycle production process (from metal sheet to sweeper). Total area of the buildings of Bucher Municipal SIA is almost 20,000 m2 and total area of existing territory is approximately 90,000 m2. In Ventspils production plant 1000 compact sweepers are being produced in a year. Vehicles are exported to more than 30 countries in the world.
